Cops bust root beer party

Just saw this interesting story. Some kid was angry that his friends were suspended from sports after pictures of them with plastic red cups were seen, so he decided to play a big joke on the school and police. According to the article, over 90 people attended the party, and none of them failed a breathalyser test. I really love the quote by a cop at the end:
"It  was a tremendous waste of time and manpower, but we still had a job to do, and our officers did it," Joling said. "If one kid had come there, even hadn't drank there, but had come there and had been drinking and had left and crashed and burned, then what would the sentiment be? Why didn't the police check everybody out?"
The Lakers were just knocked out of the playoffs last night, and this will be the end of Phil Jackson's coaching career. He won 11 championships, which is pretty insane when you consider he only coached for 20 years. But then again, he had some of the best players to ever play the game on his teams. This will probably be the end of the Lakers' dominance, at least for a while. Then again I'm not exactly an NBA expert

The Art of Video Gaming

Well, video games are now officially an art form, at least according to the National Endowment for the Arts. Something tells me Roger Ebert won't like hearing about this. Personally I think it's about time that games are recognized for what they can be. Obviously not all games are "art," I mean I don't play Call of Duty expecting to see something rivaling Picasso. But I don't expect much in terms of art from a movie like The Expendables either.
There is a wide spectrum of art, and I'm glad that video games are now considered part of that spectrum.

Speaking of video game art, I can't wait for LA Noire to come out. This game looks absolutely amazing, and you should go check it out if you haven't heard much about it. It comes out in only 10 days.

Finally, this little picture got my pretty excited when I saw it today. Apparently they are in testing right now, but hopefully they will be hitting store shelves soon. This could be the best food invention since the baconator

First blog, bitches.

Why hello people, I'm Mike. I decided today that the world must know my name, and I knew what must be done. A blog must be created, and with this blog I will rain knowledge and entertainment upon your heads. I will probably write most entries about things that are important to me. And if they are important to me, then they might even be important to you! Hope you all have a great day, and I'll be sure to start posting mind blowing blog entries as soon as possible.
